Lead. Learn. Love.
With the support of our parents and the initiative of our teachers, St. Joseph School students take part in annual, special field trips and assemblies. Frequently these trips compliment the grade level curriculum. The purpose of every class trip is to broaden the intellectual, cultural, and social experiences of each child.
While the trip is considered part of the curriculum, traveling outside the bounds of school is considered a privilege, which can be taken away if the principal deems it appropriate in light of past behavior. An additional fee, above and beyond the cost of tuition, may be assessed to cover expenses. There will be no overnight field trips.
Each student’s parent(s)/guardian(s) must provide written permission for each trip in order for the student to participate, making sure that all necessary information is provided.
If a parent/guardian does not wish a child to attend the trip for any reasons, he/she should notify the School. The child must attend school on the day of the trip or be marked absent.
All field trip chaperones are required to have a criminal background check and child abuse clearance from the state of Pennsylvania, as well as, the Safe Environment Training Classes (which may require multiple classes) required by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
