The MATHCOUNTS Competition Program is a national enrichment, coaching and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement. St. Joseph School participates in the Chester County MATHCOUNTS program. Students in Grades 7 and 8 are who have a talent and passion for math, as well as a desire to be challenged, are eligible to participate. Students will engage in exciting, “bee-style” contests in which they will compete against and alongside other motivated students from Chester County.

The St. Joseph School MATHCOUNTS team meets every Monday morning at 7:30 am in the Science Lab. Students participate in a local competition at St. Joseph School in January. A team of eight St. Joseph School students are then selected to participate in the Chester County MATHCOUNTS competition in February.
